Contact All Star Locating to find your new apartment home.

Visit apartments to make your selection.

Place your security deposit and rental application with your new apartment.

Notify All Star Locating of the apartment you have selected and your new address.

Submit written 30 day notice of move out to current apartment or to landlord. 

Notify your new apartment community of your desired move-in date.

 


Get estimates and schedule movers / or reserve your rental truck.

Confirm movers are insured against damage to your belongings.

Determine method of payment for moving services.



Submit change of address form to US Postal Office.

Contact current utilities with new address to forward final bills.

Contact bank to locate new local branch and if necessary close safe deposit boxes.

Contact creditors.

Contact insurance agents, financial advisors, stockbrokers, fund managers and accountant.

Contact or discontinue subscriptions (i.e. magazine, newspaper or other publications).



Transfer or apply for utility services at your new apartment.

Disconnect current utility services and give new address for your final bill.

*Note: Your new apartment community will also furnish you with a “Welcome Package” containing the names and numbers of your utility companies to make the connecting of your new utilities easy and convenient. 



Notify service contractors of move so they may forward your final bill.

     Housekeeper   Lawn service   Pool service   Exterminator

Deactivate alarm monitoring at current location and notify of new address for final bill.

Transfer or activate alarm monitoring at new location.

Cancel homeowner's policy (if applicable).

Purchase renter's insurance policy or update existing policy with new address.

Leave all keys with apartment manager, realtor, or neighbor.



Automobile Registration.

Driver’s license.

Toll tags.

Voter Registration.

Register children in school.

Obtain phone numbers for emergencies such as police and fire departments.
